Vacancy: agent for Germany
Shipsonic is looking for an agent to sell its ultra-sonic anti-fouling systems in Germany.

Experience selling to the maritime industry

Strong network amongst Reedereien and other procurement decision makers

Reasonable knowledge of electronics, mechanics, measurement equipment

Affinity with top-quality, durable and specialist products

Based in Germany

Fluent in German

Skilled in the German way of doing business
Description of work for an agent in Germany:
Tasks
-
Pro-actively contacting Reedereien and others and inform about Shipsonic’s workings and effectiveness
-
Actively generating and managing a pipeline of work
-
Keep close track of public tenders for ultra-sonic or anti-fouling in general
-
Prepare technical and financial proposals for potential clients (at first together with Shipsonic’s head-office)
-
Ensure proper installation, ideally installing yourself
-
Represent Shipsonic on German maritime events, including Hamburg SMM
-
Actively coordinate with Shipsonic’s head-office and other agents​
Responsibilities
-
Carefully position Shipsonic’s brand and clearly communicate its advantages over competitors
-
Develop translations of Shipsonic’s brochures, powerpoints and promotion material, ideally also the website
-
Develop half-yearly plans for working the market
-
Clear communications to Shipsonic’s Headoffice which support is needed and if additional promotion materials are required

Abilities and skills
-
Working knowledge of engineering, electronics and ideally marine fouling
-
Knowledge of installations on sea vessels and offshore / oil & gas industry
-
Understanding of and affinity with environmental protection of the seas and sustainability
-
Good communications skills and ability to reach the procurement decision makers
-
Excellent German (native speaker expected) in writing and spoken.
