Some say ultrasonic sound gives cavitation - does your USAF work through cavitation?

A very persistent myth that goes around: ultrasonic anti-fouling cleans or removes fouling with cavitation. Cavitation is '𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘷𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘳-𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘣𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 (𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴) 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘥'. Cavitation is basically an extremely powerful cleaning comparable to sand-blasting - very destructive.
