STAR LYSEFJORD is a vessel built in 2014 and designed for commercial maritime operations. In May 2024, the vessel was at Chengxi Shipyard in China, where Shipsonic carried out an ultrasonic anti-fouling (USAF) installation on the vessel’s hull.

FWN ANTARCTIC is a 140-meter general cargo ship built in 2025 and equipped with eight box coolers: seven located aft for the two auxiliary engines and the main engine HT/LT systems, and one located forward for the AC system. All eight box coolers are fitted with Shipsonic ultrasonic anti-fouling transducers.

I don't normally share sunsets on a professional profile (or anywhere else really). But this one is different. The sun setting with the silhouettes of two vessels. The FRAMFJORD is a 67-meter vessel (beam 13 meters) that delivers general cargo deep into the fjords of Norway. It was built in Croatia in 2006. It has 1695 gross tonnage. The vessel has plate coolers and suffered fouling on the seawater intake system, with a non-functioning USAF installed by another provider.

When you have a Shipsonic system on board, make sure it doesn't sound like a 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗴𝗲. If our transducers make a lot of noise, they are not properly screwed on. This means that they don't make proper contact with the item that needs to be protected against fouling. The strong torque means the ultrasonic sound and vibration is properly transferred.
