WILSON PLYMOUTH (IMO 9344497) is a general cargo ship built in 2006 and registered under the flag of Norway. She has an overall length of about 90 m and is designed for short-sea trading as part of the Wilson fleet. The vessel is a single-screw, gearless ship with a service speed of about 11.5 knots. She is equipped with a Shipsonic ultrasonic antifouling (USAF) system protecting her engine cooling system.

The Shipsonic USAF system installed on board WILSON PLYMOUTH consists of one MDP10-10 control unit, specified for 10 transducers (5 × 80W/IP67 and 5 × 100W/IP67). At the time of inspection, 8 transducers were installed and connected to the ME-LT and ME-HT coolers. The remaining 2 × 80W transducers, intended for the auxiliary cooler, are scheduled for installation.

For the auxiliary cooler, Shipsonic recommended fitting 80 mm welding rings in place of the existing 100 mm rings, so that the existing flanges can remain unchanged and the 80W transducers can be installed accordingly.

All 8 installed transducers were visually inspected for full-circle welding, coating, correct positioning and proper torque.
