BOURBON LIBERTY 313 is a offshore supply vessel built in 2014 by ZHEJIANG SHIPBUILDING - NINGBO, CHINA. Currently sailing under the flag of Luxembourg. It's gross tonnage is 2245 tons.
The ultrasonic anti-fouling system (USAF) on the 4 box coolers of the Bourbon Liberty 313 was installed and commissioned at the DMC yard in Dubai.
The system consists of 2 control units (MDP10-8 and MDP20-16) and 12 transducers (80Watt/20,5 kHz/IP76, and 12 transducers (TD) 100Watt/28 kHz/IP76)
All control units were visually inspected on working of cooling fans and fans free of obstruction, fuses and LEDs.
The actual signal going to the transducers was tested by connecting the Shipsonic signal tester to each individual outgoing connector (24 x).
Testing box cooler capacity:
The team was able to assess the capacity of HT box cooler 130/3.
The Flexim Fluxus 601 ultrasonic flow meter was used.
Methodology and test locations were designed by Kelvion.
Temperature sensors were installed on in- and outgoing cooling liquid piping.
2 ultrasonic flow sensors were installed on the ingoing cooling liquid pipe. The engine was run at about 20% load, during 30 minutes.
