We get this question so often. As Chiel de Wit explains: if a fishing vessel has fish finders, net management equipment, or a platform supply vessel has a dynamic position system, it may cause interference with Shipsonic continuous ultrasonic sound. To solve this, Shipsonic has a piece of software which can instruct individual systems to skip the specific ultrasonic frequency that another piece of equipment uses. Most of these equipments use a very narrow bandwidth of frequencies. However, when they use a broader bandwidth it gets more complicated. We are currently working on addressing that as well.
